1 The vision of an angel sent to measure Jerusalem, and its flourishing state under God's protection foretold. 6 The people warned to quit Babylon before its fall. 10 The promise of God's presence.

I aLIFTED up mine eyes again, and looked, band behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, cTo measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

And, behold, the angel that dtalked with me went forth, and 1another angel went out to meet him,

And said unto him, Run, espeak to this young man, saying, fJerusalem shall be inhabited as gtowns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:

For I, saith the LORD, hwill be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

iHo, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for jI have spread you *abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

7

kDeliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

8

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the lglory hath he sent me unto mthe nations which spoiled you: for he that ntoucheth you toucheth the *apple of his eye.

9

For, behold, oI will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and pye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

10

qSing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, rlo, I come, and I swill dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

11

And tmany nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and uI will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

12

And the LORD shall vinherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and wshall choose Jerusalem again.

13

xBe silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is yraised up out of 2his holy habitation.
