Isaiah 6 ©
1 Isaiah's vision of the Lord in his glory: 5 he is terrified; an angel removeth the ground of his apprehensions: 8 he offereth himself, and is sent to shew the obstinacy of the people unto their destruction. 13 A remnant shall be saved.
Above it dstood ethe seraphims: each one had six fwings; with *twain he covered his gface, and with twain he covered his hfeet, and with twain he did ifly.
¶Then said I, oWoe is me! for I am 5undone; because I am a man of punclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the qKing, the LORD of hosts.
Then rflew one of the seraphims unto me, 6having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off sthe altar:
Also I heard the voice of uthe Lord, saying, vWhom shall I send, and who will go for wus? xThen said I, Here am I; 8send me.
¶And he said, Go, and tell ythis people, zHear ye 9indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
aMake the heart of this people bfat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be chealed.
¶But gyet in it shall be a tenth, 11and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a *teil tree, and as an oak, whose 12substance is in them, when they cast their leaves : so hthe holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
