Isaiah 6

1Isaiah's vision of the Lord in his glory: 5he is terrified; an angel removeth the ground of his apprehensions: 8he offereth himself, and is sent to shew the obstinacy of the people unto their destruction. 13A remnant shall be saved.


1IN athe year that king Uzziah died I bsaw also the cLord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and 1his train filled the temple.

2Above it dstood ethe seraphims: each one had six fwings; with *twain he covered his gface, and with twain he covered his hfeet, and with twain he did ifly.

5¶Then said I, oWoe is me! for I am 5undone; because I am a man of punclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the qKing, the LORD of hosts.

11Then said I, Lord, dhow long? And he answered, eUntil the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be 10utterly desolate,

13¶But gyet in it shall be a tenth, 11and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a *teil tree, and as an oak, whose 12substance is in them, when they cast their leaves : so hthe holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
