THE
REVELATION
OF
JOHN THE DIVINE*

Revelation 19 ©

1 Alleluia is sung in heaven for the judgment of the great whore. 5 Another voice out of the throne exhorts all the servants of God to rejoice, because the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His bride has made herself ready with fine bright linen. 9 They are pronounced blessed who are called to this marriage. 10 The apostle falls down before the angel’s feet, but is reproved for it, and commanded to worship God. 11 John sees in a new vision a white horse, and one sitting thereon, whose justice, flaming eyes, blood-dyed garment, hidden name, succession, sword and rod of iron are described. 15 The same treads the winepress of God’s wrath, and is the King of kings. 17 Another angel calls all the birds to come and cut the flesh of all the captains and of all others in the great slaughter of God. 19 Who were gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse. 20 But the beast with the false prophet is cast into the lake of fire. 21 And all their adherents are slain with the sword.

1

AND 1after these things I heard a great voice of 2much people in heaven, saying, 3Alleluia; 4Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

2

For 5true and righteous are hisa judgments: for he hath judged 6the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged theb blood of his servants at her hand.

3

And 7again they said, Alleluia.c Andd her smoke rose up 8for ever and ever.

4

And 9the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.e

5

And a voice came 10out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all 11ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

6

And I heard as it were the voice of a 12great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia:f for the Lord God omnipotent 13reigneth.g

7

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: forh14the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife 15hath made herself ready.

8

And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen 16is 17the righteousness of saints.

9

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they 18which are called 19unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, 20Thesei are the true sayings of God.

10

Andj I fell at his feet to worship 21him. And he said unto me, Seekthou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: 22worship God: for the testimony of Jesus 23is the spirit of prophecy.

11

24And I saw 25heaven opened, and behold 26al white horse; and he that sat upon him was called 27Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and 28make war.

12

His eyes were 29asm a flame of fire, and on his head were 30many crowns; and he had 31a name written, that no man 32knew, but he himself.

13

And he was clothed with a vesture 33dippedn34in blood: and his name is called 35Theo Word of God.

14

And 36the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in finep linen, 37white and clean.

15

Andq38out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite 39the nations: and he shall rule them 40withr a rod of iron: ands41he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16

And he hath 42on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, 43KINGt OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

17

And I saw an angel 44standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying 45to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Comeu and gather yourselves together unto 46the supper of the great God;

18

That ye may eat 47the flesh of kings, and the flesh 48of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

19

And 49I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20

And the beast 50was taken, and with him 51the false prophet thatv wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had receivedw the mark of the beast, and them that worshippedx his image. These both were cast alivey into a lake of fire burning 52withz brimstone.

21

And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, 53which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
