1 Peter 5 ©
1 The elders are exhorted to feed the flock of Christ conscientiously, looking to the chief Shepherd for a reward. 5 The younger are required to submit to the elder, and all to practise humility toward each other; 6 with resignation to God; 8 to be sober, watchful, and stedfast in the faith, resisting the devil. 10 The epistle is concluded with a prayer and benediction.
THE aelders which are among you I exhort, who am balso an elder, and a cwitness of the sufferings of Christ, and also da partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
But the xGod of all grace, ywho hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, zafter that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
By bSilvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as cI suppose, I have written dbriefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the etrue grace of God wherein ye stand.
