MANY1 a time have they afflicted me from bmy youth, cmay Israel now say:

2Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet dthey have not prevailed against me.

The eplowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

The fLORD is righteous: he hath cut *asunder the gcords of the wicked.

hLet them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
