Psalm 99 ©

This psalm speaks of the mighty power of the LORD, and with all of His righteousness and kindness towards His people; exhorting likewise the church to praise and magnify God by the examples of Moses and Aaron.

1

The LORD 1reigneth; 2let the people tremble: 3he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be 4moved.

2

The LORD is 5great 6in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

3

Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

4

The 7king’s 8strength also loveth judgment; 9thou dost establish 10equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness 11in Jacob.

5

Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship 12at his footstool; for 13he is holy.

6

14Moses and Aaron among 15his priests, and Samuel among them 16that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

7

He spake 17unto them in the cloudy pillar: 18they kept 19his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.

8

Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God 20that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of 21their 22inventions.

9

23Exalt the LORD our God, and worship 24at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.
