Hebrews 13 ©

1 Exhortations to charity, 2 hospitality, 3 pity for the afflicted, 4 chastity, 5 contentment; 7 to regard the preachers of God's word; 9 to avoid strange doctrines; 10 to confess Christ; 15 to offer up our praises to God by him; 16 to do good and to communicate; 17 to obey spiritual rulers; 18 and to pray for the apostle. 20 The epistle endeth with a prayer and salutations.

bBe not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby csome have entertained angels unawares.

dRemember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

eMarriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: fbut whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

gLet your *conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: hfor he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

So that we may boldly say, iThe Lord is my helper, jand I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Remember them which 1have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their k*conversation.

lJesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

mBe not carried about with *divers and strange doctrines. nFor it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with *meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

oWe have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

pFor the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned *without the camp.

qWherefore Jesus also, that he might rsanctify the people with his own blood, ssuffered *without the gate.

tLet us go forth therefore unto him *without the camp, bearing his reproach.

uFor here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

vBy him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips 2giving thanks to his name.

wBut to do good and xto communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

yObey them that 3have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: zfor they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

aPray for us: for we trust bwe have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

cBut I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

Now dthe God of peace, that ebrought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, fthat great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting 4covenant,

gMake you perfect in every good work to do his will, 5working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; hto whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

And iI beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: jfor I have written a letter unto you in few words.

Know ye that our kbrother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

Salute all them that lhave the rule over you, and mall the saints. They of Italy salute you.
