1 Forty eight cities out of the other tribes are given unto the Levites. 9 The cities of the priests; 20 of the rest of the Kohathites; 27 of the Gershonites; 34 and of the Merarites. 43 God's promise fulfilled in giving the land and rest to Israel.

THEN came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto aEleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;
