Psalm 96 ©

All the inhabitants of the earth and the sea are exhorted to praise God for His greatness, majesty, excellence, creation and wise government of the world and of all that is in it; and especially, by reason of the grace of the New Testament in the calling of the Gentiles.

1

O 1SING unto the LORD a 2new song: sing unto the LORD, 3all the earth.

2

Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth 4his salvation from day to day.

3

Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

4

For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

5

For all the gods of the nations are 5idols: but the LORD made 6the heavens.

6

Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are 7in his sanctuary.

7

Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and 8strength.

8

Give unto the LORD 9the glory due unto his name: 10bring an offering, and come 11into his courts.

9

O worshipa the LORD in the beauty of holiness: 12fear before him, 13all the earth.

10

Say among the heathen that 14the LORD reigneth: 15the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people 16righteously.

11

17Let the heavens 18rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea 19roar, 20and the fulness thereof.

12

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

13

Before 21the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh 22to judge the earth: heb shall judge 23the world with righteousness, and the people with his 24truth.
