Isaiah 62 ©
1 The prophet's zeal in interceding for the accomplishment of God's glorious promises to his church. 6 The ministers of God are incited to use the like importunity. 8 God's gracious promises confirmed by oath. 10 The preparation of the gospel salvation.
FOR aZion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until bthe righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
cAnd the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and dthou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
fThou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed gDesolate: but thou shalt be called 1Hephzi-bah, and thy land 2Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, hand thy land shall be married.
The LORD hath nsworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, 6Surely oI will no more give thy corn to be *meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:
Behold, rthe LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, sSay ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, tthy salvation cometh; behold, uhis reward is with him, and his 7work before him.
And they shall call them, vThe holy people, wThe redeemed of the LORD: and thou xshalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
