THE
REVELATION
OF
JOHN THE DIVINE*
Revelation 14 ©
1 The apostle sees in a vision the Lamb standing on Mount Sion with his 144,000 as being marked. 2 A new song is sung in heaven, which none could learn but they. 4 These are virgins and follow the Lamb whithersoever he goes. 6 Whereupon an angel flies through the midst of heaven, and preaches the everlasting Gospel. 8 Whom another angel follows, who foretells the fall of the great city of Babylon. 9 And a third, who threatens eternal punishment to them who worship the beast, or bear his mark. 12 The saints are exhorted unto patience, and they who die in the Lord are assured of salvation. 14 After that there appears one upon a white cloud, with a crown upon his head, and a sickle in his hand, who is charged to put his sickle into the harvest that was ripe. 17 At last there comes yet another angel out of the temple of heaven with another sickle, who is charged to cut off the grapes of the earth. 19 Which he casts into the winepress of God’s wrath, which is trodden, and flows even unto the bridles of the horses, a thousand six hundred furlongs.
AND I looked, and, lo, a 1Lamb 2stood on the mount Sion, and with him 3ana hundred forty and four thousand, 4having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
5And I heard a voice from heaven, as theb voice of many waters, and as the voice 6of a great thunder: and I heard the voice 7ofc harpers harping with their harps:
And they sung as it were 8ad new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and 9no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, 10which were redeemed from the earth.
These are they 11which were not defiled with women; fore they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being 12the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
Andf13in their mouth was found no guile: for they are 14withoutg fault before the throne of God.
15And I saw 16another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having 17the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Saying with a loud voice, 18Fear God, and give glory to him; for 19the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him thath made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and 20the fountains of waters.
And there followed 21another angel, saying, 22Babyloni is fallen, is fallen, thatj great city, because she made all nations drink of 23the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
And the 24third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
25The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which 26is pouredk out without mixture intol the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormentedm withn fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
27Ando the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
28Herep is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep 29the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die 30in the Lord 31from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow 32them.
And 33I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one 34sat like untoq the Son of man, 35having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand 36a sharp sickle.
And another angel came out of 37the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrustr in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee 38to reap; for the harvest of the earth is 39ripe.
And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth 40was reaped.
And 41another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
And another angel came out 42from the altar, 43which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; 44for her grapes are fully ripe.
And the angel 45thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it 46into the great winepress of thes wrath of God.
And thet winepress was trodden 47without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, 48even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a 49thousand and six hundred furlongs.
