Psalm 95 ©
An exhortation to the praise, service and obedience of God because of His greatness; together with a dissuasion of not hardening the heart, as Israel had done, which therefore entered not into his rest.
O1 COME, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God, and a great King 2above all gods.
Ina his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of 3the hills is his also.
The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD 4our maker.
Forb he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep 5of his hand. 6To dayc if ye will hear his voice,
Harden not your heart, asd in the provocation, and as in the day 7of temptation in the wilderness:
8When your fathers tempted me, proved me,e and saw 9my work.
Fortyf years long was I grieved 10with this generation, and said, It is a people that do 11err in their heart, and 12they have not known 13my ways:
Unto whom I sware in my wrath 14that they should not enter 15into my rest.
