Psalm 91 ©
The psalmist writes here in what condition the godly are here in this world, relating the manifold favors and benefits they are made partakers of, who put their whole confidence in the Lord.
HE that dwelleth 1in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow 2of the Almighty.
3I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surelya4he shall deliver thee 5from the snare 6of the fowler,band from the noisomec pestilence.
He shalld cover thee with his feathers, and 7under his wings shalt thou trust: 8his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thoue shalt not be afraid for 9the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth 10at noonday.
A thousand shall 11fall 12at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it 13shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou 14behold and see the 15reward of the wicked.
Because thou 16hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, 17thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
Forf he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee 18in all thy ways.
Theyg shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Thou 19shalt tread 20upon theh lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Because 21he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because 22he hath known my name.
He 23shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
With long life 24will I satisfy him, and shew him 25my salvation.
