Romans 3

1The Jew's prerogative; 3which is not vacated by the unbelief of some; 5nor is God's justice impeached in punishing their sinfulness. 9The law itself convinceth the Jews also universally of sin; 20so that no flesh is justified by the deeds of the law; 21but all indiscriminately by God's grace through faith in Christ: 31yet without annulling the obligations of the law.


1WHAT aadvantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

5fBut if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, gwhat shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak has a man)

7kFor if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

16Destruction and misery are in their ways:

17And the way of peace have they not known:

18uThere is no fear of God before their eyes.

19Now we know that what things soever the law saith, vit saith to them who are under the law: wthat every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become 2guilty before God.

22Even the righteousness of God which is cby faith of Jesus Christ dunto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23For eall have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24fBeing justified freely gby his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25Whom God hath 3set forth to be a *propitiation hthrough faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the 4*remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

*propitiation-the wrath-ending sacrifice by which the Lord Jesus Christ secured His people's pardon.

26To declare, I say , at this time ihis righteousness: that jhe might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

27kWhere is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the llaw of faith.

28Therefore we conclude that ma man is justified by faith nwithout the deeds of the law.

29oIs he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

30pSeeing it is one God, *which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and quncircumcision through faith.
