Mark 8

1Christ miraculously feedeth four thousand persons: 10he refuseth the Pharisees a sign: 14he warneth his disciples against the leaven of the Pharisees and of Herod, and explaineth his meaning: 22he giveth a blind man sight. 27The people's opinions, and Peter's confession, of him: 31he foresheweth his own death, and rebuketh Peter for dissuading him from it: 34he sheweth his followers that they must deny themselves, and not be ashamed of him and his gospel.

1IN those days ^athe multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him , and saith unto them,

2^bI have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:

4And his disciples answered him, ^cFrom whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?

7And they had a few small fishes: and he ^gblessed, and commanded to set them also before them.

14¶ⁿNow the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.

34¶And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, ^lWhosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
