John

John 21

1Christ appeareth to his disciples at the sea of Tiberias, and maketh himself known by a great draught of fishes: 12he eateth before them: 15he thrice repeateth his charge to Peter to feed his flock; foretelleth the manner of his death; and rebuketh his curiosity concerning John. 24John asserteth the truth of his testimony, and that Jesus did many acts besides, too numerous to be recorded.

1AFTER athese things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.

a Mat. 26.32; 28.7. ch. 6.1.

9As soon then as they were come to land, they saw ka fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

k 1Ki. 19.6.

10Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

11Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

12Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

13lJesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
