Job 40

1God challengeth an answer. 3Job humbleth himself. 6God calleth upon Job to shew by instances of power that he is able to save himself. 15God's great power is seen in the behemoth.


1MOREOVER the LORD answered Job, and said,

2Shall he that acontendeth with the Almighty instruct him ? he that breproveth God, let him answer it.

3¶Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

4Behold, cI am *vile; what shall I answer thee? I will dlay mine hand upon my mouth.

6¶Then answered the LORD unto Job fout of the whirlwind, and said,

7g*Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

12Look on nevery one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.

15¶Behold now 1*behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth qgrass as an ox.
