Job 23

1Job longeth to appear before God, 6in confidence of being heard with mercy, and acquitted. 8God, though invisible, observeth our ways. 11Job asserteth his own integrity; 13but the immutable counsel of God troubleth him.


1THEN Job answered and said,

2Even ato day is my complaint bbitter: my 1stroke is heavier than my groaning.

8Behold, iI go forward, but he is not there ; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:

9On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him : he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him :

10But jhe knoweth 2the way that I take: when he khath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
