Isaiah 45

1God calleth Cyrus for his church's sake: 5he asserteth his own omnipotency, and promiseth salvation thereby to Israel. 20The ignorance of those who worship idols. 22God's salvation will extend unto all nations.


1THUS saith the LORD to his aanointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have 1*holden, bto subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

20¶Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are rescaped of the nations: they shave no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
