1The prophet seeth in a vision the fall of Babylon by the Medes and Persians. 11He giveth warning to Edom. 13The set time of Arabia's calamity.

3Therefore ^gare my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that ^*travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it ; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
