Isaiah 21

1The prophet seeth in a vision the fall of Babylon by the Medes and Persians. 11He giveth warning to Edom. 13The set time of Arabia's calamity.


1THE burden of athe desert of the sea. bAs whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, cfrom a terrible land.

3Therefore gare my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that *travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it ; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
