Isaiah 2

1Isaiah prophesieth the coming of Christ's kingdom. 6Wickedness is why God hath forsaken his people. 10The prophet forewarneth them of the terrible day of the Lord.


1THE aword that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

2And bit shall come to pass in the last days, that cthe mountain of the LORD's house shall be 1established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all dnations shall flow unto it.

3And many people shall go and say, eCome ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he fwill teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for gout of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

4And hhe shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: iand they shall beat their swords into *plowshares, and their spears into 2pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

6¶Therefore thou hast kforsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be lreplenished 3from the east, and are *soothsayers mlike the Philistines, nand they 4please themselves in the children of strangers.

11The ulofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the vLORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
