Hosea 10

Israel is reproved and threatened for their impiety and idolatry, and exhorted to repentance.


1ISRAEL ais 1an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit bunto himself: caccording to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly 2images.

5The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear ibecause of jthe calves of Beth-aven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the 6priests thereof kthat rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.

9O Israel, qthou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: rthe battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
