1Jacob calleth his sons to bless them. 3The blessing of Reuben; 5Simeon and Levi; 8Judah; 13Zebulun; 14Issachar; 16Dan; 19Gad; 20Asher; 21Naphtali; 22Joseph; 27and Benjamin. 29He chargeth them about his burial, and dieth.


1aAND Jacob called unto his sons, and said, bGather yourselves together, that I cmay tell you that which shall befall you in the dlast days.

3¶Reuben, thou art my ffirstborn, my gmight, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:

8¶Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall opraise: thy hand shall be pin the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.

9Judah is qa lion's *whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he rstooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?

23The jarchers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:

26The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the *utmost bound of the qeverlasting hills: they shall be ron the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was sseparate from his brethren.

27¶Benjamin tshall *ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.

28¶All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

29And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be ugathered unto my people: vbury me with my fathers win the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
