1A lamentation for the princes of Israel, under the parable of lions' cubs taken in a pit; 10and for Jerusalem, under the parable of a wasted vine.
1MOREOVER take thou up aa lamentation for the bprinces of Israel,

2And say, What is thy mother? cA lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her *whelps among young lions.

13And snow she is planted in the wilderness, in a tdry and thirsty ground.

14And ufire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath vdevoured her fruit, so that she hath wno strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. xThis is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.
