1Moses' prophecy before his death, beginning with a display of God's majesty, and regard for Israel. 6The blessing of Reuben; 7of Judah; 8of Levi; 12of Benjamin; 13of Joseph; 18of Zebulun and Issachar; 20of Gad; 22of Dan; 23of Naphtali; 24of Asher. 26The excellency of Israel.


1AND this is the ablessing, wherewith Moses the bman of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

2And he said, cThe LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came dwith ten thousands of saints: from his eright hand went 1a fiery law for them.

6¶Let mReuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.

7¶And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, nHear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.

8¶And of Levi he said, Let othy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy pholy one, whom thou didst *prove at Massah, and with qwhom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;

13¶And of Joseph he said, aBlessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for bthe dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,

18¶And of Zebulun he said, jRejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.

22¶And of Dan he said, Dan is ra lion's *whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.

24¶And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed uwith children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.

27The yeternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he zshall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them .

29eHappy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, fthe shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and gthine enemies 10shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
