On account of the war between him and Baasha he maketh a league with Ben-hadad king of Syria, who causeth Baasha to desist from building Ramah; Asa with the stones thereof buildeth Geba and Mizpah. Asa dieth, and is succeeded by Jehoshaphat. Nadab's wicked reign. He is slain by Baasha, who succeedeth him, and executeth Ahijah's prophecy against Jeroboam's house. Baasha's wicked reign.
1NOW in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned aAbijam over Judah.

29And it came to pass, when he reigned, that uhe smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of the LORD, which he spake by his servant vAhijah the Shilonite:
